How do I start planning a virtual service with a BlueButterfly concierge?

Give us a call at 888-759-2989 and we will walk you through your options, with no pressure and no commitment necessary. We will create a step-by-step plan and take care of everything for you from start to finish.

What is a virtual service like?

The BlueButterfly team will build a custom experience for each of our clients to celebrate their loved one. A service consists of a welcome and a closing, can be hosted by a clergy member or member of the family, and can include many meaningful service elements from readings to musical performances to candle lighting ceremonies and more. You can include participation from as many or as few family members and friends as you would like. Services range from 1-2 hours in length and can include live and pre-recorded elements, and usually conclude with a beautiful photo slideshow. Concierge planned services can also include bonus elements, like candle lighting services and a special series of tributes called “He/She made a difference.” The BlueButterfly team creates your choice of graphics and music to pull everything together. The service will be a meaningful and very personal celebration of your loved one’s life.

How long will it take to plan a virtual service?

We can put together a service for you in as little as 2-3 days, but the typical service is planned over a 1-2 week time period. Some families opt to carefully plan a service to be held one, two, or more months after the passing of a loved one. We are happy to follow the timeline that feels right for each family.

Do I still need to use a funeral home?

If you will be proceeding with a burial, you will need to hire a funeral home to manage that process, and we can help you find one. If you have decided on a cremation, you will not need to use a funeral home at all.
